In 2004 we had the privilege of purchasing one of the best in American Miniature Horse stallions. Storm is an own son of the great Sierra Dawn Uno De Mayo and is in his own right producing incredible offspring. His daughter, Spots 'N Stripes First Lady is undefeated in the show ring. Storm has a beautiful 2004 sorrel pinto filly out of a Del Terres mare, HMS Storm's Serenade, who took high point horse of the day at her first show in May '06! . We look forward to seeing more of this outstanding filly in the show ring. Storm had 3 beautiful babies in '05, with more coming in '06...watch for them as they arrive. Storm has been National top 10 in halter and driving and is a great liberty horse. Holly’s Senor Tequila

In 2002 we jumped at the opportunity to purchase Tequila who is an own son of the world famous Paul Bunyan. He is half brother to Shadow Oaks Top Banana and has been the best kept secret in the miniature horse world! Tequila was registered originally as AMHR and hardshipped into the AMHA just a few years ago, so you will see his excellent pedigree only in the AMHR studbook due to the AMHA rules on hardshipping. Tequila is now twenty one years old (above photo taken at age 20) As a yearling Tequila was attacked by dogs along with his sister. The filly died from the attack, and Tequila has many scars by which one can ascertain that he took a long time to heal, so his show career was limited. Tequila was sold as a pet as a result and remained so for many years and therefore has limited get. He finally was purchased by someone who saw through the scars, showed him to many Championships, and used him on a few mares on their small ranch. His get became champions and to date he has downsized 100%, while they inherit his balance and world class look. His get are elegant, refined, and winners, like their fabulous sire.

This is one of the rarest opportunities to breed to one of the best son's of Shadow Oaks Paul Bunyan. His book will be very limited.

He is not only tiny, and very correct, but very intelligent and loving. Topper is the rarest of horse colors in any breed, grulla, with full dorsal stripe, mask and zebra stripes. (no relation to our zebras!) He is a grandson of the great NFC Egyptian Kings Top Account, and his sire is National Res. Champion, Craig's Skip. Due to other commitments, we did not show Topper in 2003. He is now 27.5" tall, and ready to breed a few select mares this year. Check out more photos of Topper in our photo album. He will also be used for AI'ing one or two of our Grant's Zebra mares for miniature zorses.

Holly’s Gold

Gold, a Ramundo grandson, had a short but very impressive show career with Multi AMHA Championships and has been producing Champions, Multi Supreme Champions, and National Top Tens ever since with limited breeding. Gold is triple registered. The photo showing his rich golden color was taken at 17 years of age. The photo at left was Gold as a late yearling. Gold has consistently produced pintos and palominos. We welcome him to Spots ‘N Stripes Ranch and look forward to continuing his breeding career producing the ‘best of the best’. Gold is the grandson of the legendary Ramundo, and son of TD, a beautiful bl/wh pinto with a very short breeding career. Check out some of Gold’s champion kids.
